First Movie Night on Friday, June 14th with a showing of “The Express”

Local Food Trucks & Breweries on Site for Free Family-Fun Event

 

Syracuse, New York – COR Development today announced it is kicking off a free outdoor movie night series this summer at the Syracuse Inner Harbor’s Iron Pier, beginning on Friday, June 14th with a showing of “The Express.” The free family events will feature a movie under the stars, and include local food trucks and breweries, smart phone trivia, prizes and more.

 

The first movie night event begins at 5:00 PM and goes until 11:00 PM. Food trucks and local breweries will be on site beginning at 5:00. Trivia and prizes will begin at 7:15, with the movie to follow. Food trucks will include Skippy’s Ice Cream, Chef 4 Rent, The Bite Box and Cheez Please. Alcohol vendors include Buried Acorn Brewing Company and The Preserve at 405.

 

You can set up your lawn chair or blanket at 720 Van Rensselaer Street, on the backside of Iron Pier along the water. Parking can be found on site at Iron Pier across the street from the event.

 

“The Express” (2008) is an American sports film drama based on the life of college football hero Ernie Davis. Under the guidance of Syracuse University football coach Ben Schwartzwalder, Ernie Davis overcomes poverty and prejudice to become the first black man to win the Heisman Trophy. Film is rated “PG.”

The movie night series schedule includes:

  • Friday, June 14th – “The Express”
  • Friday, July 19th – “ The Sandlot”
  • Friday, August 9th – “The Greatest Showman”

All events will begin at 5:00 and end at 11:00 PM and will feature a variety of local food trucks, breweries and other vendors throughout the series.
