WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A new restaurant is set to spice things up later this year in Watertown. Dave’s Hot Chicken has signed a lease to open its first Watertown location at Towne Center in Spring 2026. The Nashville-style hot chicken chain will occupy a 5,071-square-foot building formerly used by TGI Fridays.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.Y. — The Community Quilters Market will be held in the Fayetteville Towne Center Atrium on December 6-7 to raise funds for World Central Kitchen and aid hurricane victims in North Carolina and Tennessee. The event was inspired by a radio story about musicians who came together to raise funds for hurricane relief.

Meier’s Creek plans to open a satellite taproom — without its own brewhouse — in the Iron Pier Apartments residential-commercial development at 720 Van Rensselaer St. in the Inner Harbor.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) — T.J.Maxx is moving to a new location in Watertown. The retailer will be opening at 21855 Towne Center Drive, the former location of Bed Bath & Beyond, on March 30. The store is relocating from its location on Arsenal Street.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Syracuse Winterfest kicked off this weekend, Sunday, February 19 at the Syracuse Inner Harbor to support Helping Hounds Dog Rescue with a special race involving dogsleds. This year’s top event, the human dogsled race, was brought back by popular demand with three different age range categories and with all proceeds benefitting the dog rescue organization.

The real-estate development company is busy leasing out commercial space in its Iron Pier Apartments.

(WSYR-TV) — With Mother’s Day approaching, United Way of Central New York and COR Development Company have decided to host a drive to collect personal care items and toiletries for local women in need.

On Sunday, a couple hundred people gathered outside the roughly 100-foot lawn of Iron Pier Apartments near the Syracuse Inner Harbor, anticipating the start of the second Winterfest Human Dogsled Race. People converged to the sides of the lawn to watch teams of five people, with four pullers and one rider, race with their own customized sleds.

United Way of Central New York is partnering with COR Development Company to collect new and gently used coats and other winter items to share with our neighbors who need them. Donors are invited to drop off items through Jan. 2 at bins at participating COR Development retail tenants. In addition to coats, we are collecting new mittens, new hats and scarves, and new socks.

Iron Pier Apartments at 720 Van Rensselaer St. is actually two four-story buildings connected by steel archways, one of which doubles as a rooftop terrace.

SYRACUSE — This weekend’s Wing Fest serves as a reminder of the progress made in Syracuse’s Inner Harbor and the development still to come.

COR Development, is hosting a Thanksgiving holiday food and clothing drive that will take place in COR’s shopping centers and other locations around the Syracuse area.

The new facility will provide “ongoing industry education” for Empire Merchants North’s 700 employees. Fayetteville–based COR Development Co., LLC handled the development, design, construction and brokerage of the facility, Empire Merchants North said in a news release.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Plans are underway to transform the Inner Harbor into a mecca of restaurants and retail. COR Development announced Thursday that they are pursuing a market place concept at what would be called the Inner Harbor’s Iron Pier complex on Van Rensselaer Street. There has been quite a bit of progress recently on a new development project in Syracuse’s Inner Harbor. COR Development is hoping to have the 180,000 square foot project complete by October. It will include 112 apartment units along with retail shops and restaurants. Leasing for the one and two room apartments is underway, while COR is still looking at options to fill the retail space.
